The Club

Founded in 1973, the member owned semi-private club has continually evolved from a 9 hole golf course to two distinct 18-hole golf courses.  The Park Meadows par 72, 6,300 yard course is a fun walker-friendly resort-style course, while the Desert Gold par 71, 6,500 yard course exhibits a unique links-style golf experience, carved into the desert bench. Ranked #55 of courses you can play by Score Magazine.

The leadership team, staff and Board have worked diligently to strengthen the culture of Osoyoos Golf Club. Focusing on creating a Club where members feel connected, employees enjoy coming to work, departments support one another, and exceptional service is a shared responsibility.

The Club has a deep social environment with a 13,000 square foot clubhouse.  It hosts a busy Golf Shop, practice facilities, tournament and league programs, food and beverage operations, and a strong and engaged membership.

Head Professional

Summary of Key Responsibilities of the Role 

​

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head Golf Professional will provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of Golf Operations while serving as a key member of the Club's leadership team in a highly collaborative environment.

​

The Head Golf Professional will have significant responsibility and autonomy within Golf Operations while also benefiting from the active involvement, mentorship and support of the General Manager.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will embrace the Club’s strategic vision, actively contribute to strategic and long-range planning, and demonstrate the ability to balance operational excellence today with thoughtful, innovative planning for the future.

•    Someone who leads by example and is visible, approachable and engaged with all members, guests and employees.
•    Builds relationships and creates an environment where people feel valued and supported.
•    Wants to be an active member of the Osoyoos community—not simply manage a department at the golf course

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven leadership experience within a golf operation with strong knowledge of Golf Shop operations, merchandising and inventory management.

  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency with golf management technology, including tee sheet and point-of-sale systems, tournament software, inventory management tools and other digital platforms supporting golf operations

  • Experience planning and executing tournaments, leagues and corporate golf events.

  • Sound financial and budgeting skills.

  • PGA of Canada Member with a passion for golf and for creating outstanding member and guest experiences.

​​Compensation - 

Base Salary: $100,000 annually, additional consideration will be measured from experience, qualifications and demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Annual Performance Incentive: Opportunity to earn up to 10% of base salary, based on mutually established individual, Golf Operations and Club performance objectives.

  • Opportunity to provide golf instruction and generate additional income through lesson revenue
