The General Manager will be responsible for overall club operations, financial sustainability, team leadership, and delivering an exceptional member experience.

General Manager

Summary of Key Responsibilities of the Role 

The role requires a visible leader who can manage and inspire the team, support financial sustainability, and deliver service excellence.

This position requires a General Manager who demonstrates exceptional relationship-building skills, fosters strong collaboration across departments, and brings a proactive, results-focused leadership style that enhances the member experience and drives the club’s success.
 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Member Experience & Club Operations

  • Champion an exceptional, consistent, and engaging member experience across all areas of the Club.

  • Lead day-to-day operations while aligning service delivery with the Club’s strategic vision.

  • Be highly visible and present throughout the Club, proactively building relationships with members and guests through regular daily interaction.

 

People & Culture

  • Develop and foster a positive, inclusive, and service-focused workplace culture.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development programs.

  • Establish clear operating policies, performance expectations, and accountability structures.

  • Strengthen ties to the local community through outreach initiatives.

 

Financial Leadership

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost management, and long-term financial sustainability.

  • Monitor and mitigate operational, financial, and enterprise risks.

  • Lead banking relationships, refinancing, and capital funding planning in support of long-term sustainability.

 

Governance, Strategy & Capital Planning

  • Partner closely with the Board to execute the Club’s Strategic Plan and annual tactical objectives.

  • Provide clear, timely, and transparent reporting to the Board.

  • Lead capital planning initiatives and oversee major projects and facility maintenance.

  • Help shape membership strategy, balancing retention, attraction, and long-term capacity to ensure a healthy and sustainable Club model.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

•    Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
•    Minimum of three (3) years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, private clubs, or a related service environment.
•    Experience reporting to and working collaboratively with a Board of Directors is a strong asset.
•    Proven success in financial management, team leadership, and operational excellence.

•    Strong business acumen across finance, HR, IT, and risk management.
•    Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
•    Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented leadership style.
•    Proven ability to lead change, solve problems, and make sound decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be a proven collaborator and relationship builder. 

 

Compensation & Benefits

•    Competitive base salary of $170,000+, commensurate with experience.
•    Performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
